How DSS Consulting Powered Bosch Rexroth’s Internal Workflows with Jmix BPM

Background

DSS Consulting partnered with Bosch Rexroth, a leading engineering company within the Bosch Group, for a local R&D initiative. Previously, DSS had created a basic process development application called DSS WorkflowManager, built on the CUBA Platform - the predecessor of Jmix. This early version could only manage a single workflow at a time. CUBA Platform initially also substituted customer’s solution yet based on Microsoft Access application for the complex bidding process that lasted from the receipt of the request for proposal through getting inputs from engineering to the issuance of the final offer.

Challenge

Bosch Rexroth needed a tool that could enable any department to independently create and manage multiple business processes in parallel with different scenarios. The solution had to be user-friendly, scalable, and customizable, with DSS support available when advanced functionality like custom UI was required.
